Day 1. Almaty, Arrival
Arrival to Almaty, the Southern capital of Kazakhstan. Meeting and greeting at Almaty International airport. Transfer to Medeo sports complex. Accommodation in the hotel Medeo, located not far from Shymbulak Ski Resort, which can be easily accessed by Medeo-Shymbulak cable way.
Shymbulak Ski Resort located in the picturesque valley of the Ile-Alatau at an altitude of 2510 meters above sea level and considered to be the one of the best ski bases in CIS. The resort is famous for its mild climate, large quantity of sunny days, steady snow and the magnificent surrounding views. The season at Shymbulak runs from November to April, snow provided. The resort maintains a variety of routes, including the gentle and soft slopes for beginners and long runs for advanced skiers, FIS-slopes for downhill skiing, wild valleys, pristine snow and the Half-pipe for snowboarders, extreme bends for the pros, a special track for mogul. Each year the new routes appear at Shymbulak . Ski slopes of Shymbulak are certified by International Ski Federation (FIS). Shymbulak downhill and giant slalom tracks are listed among the top ten toughest trails in the world.
Days 2-4. Almaty, Shymbulak
Recreation at Shymbulak Ski Resort and skating at high mountainous Medeo skating rink.
Shymbulak has its own special atmosphere. Here you can see the skiers who like ironed track as well as the snowboarders who prefer extreme downhills with breathtaking jumps and turns. On sunny days Shymbulak gathers together thousands of visitors. On chairlifts you can reach Talgar Pass (3163 meters above sea level). Day 5. Almaty

History of the Southern capital of Kazakhstan, its past and future, beautiful nature and lovely places for townspeople – everything just in the one tour! The tour starts with sightseeing in the Medeo Gorge, where the highest mountain skating rink in the world is located, as well as the dam, protecting the city from dangerous mud flow. Then you will proceed to the central part of the city to know more about history and development of the South capital of Kazakhstan and see its major attractions. You will visit a popular place for town people – the Green Bazaar, where it is impossible to refrain from shopping. It is the great chance to experience an atmosphere of the real Central Asian market, its colors, smells and crowds. There you can obtain famous Asian sweets, but don’t forget to bargain…
Then the tour will continue in one of the oldest Almaty park – Panfilov Park, where you will see one of the unique wooden building in the world – Zenkov Cathedral and also visit the Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame, dedicated to the memory of the fighters who died for freedom and independence of the country. After the park you will continue to explore sport, cultural and business areas of the city, and then by the picturesque winding mountain road you will get to the Kok-Tobe hill, where the tallest TV tower in the world is located (if to count from the sea level). In the national restaurant of Kok-Tobe park you will have opportunity to try traditional dishes of Kazakh cuisine sitting inside the real Kazakh yurt.
After the lunch you can stroll along the winding paths of the Kok-Tobe park, admire the magnificent panorama of the city from the special observation deck and visit the shop of national souvenirs. The tour ends with the short ride from the top of the hill to the center of the city by the famous Almaty cableway.

Day 6. Almaty

During this day you can visit shopping malls of the city, including the oldest one – Zangar (Central Department Store), which is the best and the most convenient place for handicrafts and antique Kazakh jewelry. The top floor of this department store is a treasury of small stores selling different souvenirs, like felt slippers, toys, bags, dolls, mini yurts and so on. If you want to buy some souvenirs – this is the place to go. You can also have a walk along Zhibek Zholy Street – the pedestrian street in the heart of the city, so-called “Almaty Arbat”, with comfortable benches and fountains, shops and cafes. This place is chosen by professional and amateur artists offering their work for sale.

Day 7. Almaty
Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out before 12:00 noon. Transfer to the airport. Departure.
